After a rather tough play, Cha Fe FC's Teobaldo Phelipe got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Pacho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 18th match minute, Cha Fe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavi Iniesta to maneuver through the defense. Elvio Pacho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Atarrabi in the 22nd minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes Jimeno Atarrabi rounded Ecuador's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Pacho having to interfere. When Xavi Iniesta came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Cha Fe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavi Iniesta couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teobaldo Phelipe got free with Julio Vera in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Phelipe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 2-1. In the 40th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Jimeno Atarrabi scored 3-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Phelipe in the 59th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Elvio Pacho in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Xavi Iniesta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute Teobaldo Phelipe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobaldo Phelipe's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Elvio Pacho made a huge save. Cha Fe FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Daniel Zorita 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-3. 82 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Cha Fe FC's Elvio Pacho. Elvio Pacho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-5. With a little luck, Cha Fe FC's Elvio Pacho got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
