Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joel Gaona kicked off to start the match. Ioan Voicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 4th minute of play. Ioan Voicu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 8 played minutes Club Atlético Temperley got a freekick which was hit by Hector Fernandez. Ioan Voicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Gaston Laurendi came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. Luca Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ioan Voicu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luca Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Correia in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. 32 minutes into the game, Gaston Laurendi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Gaston Laurendi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Ioan Voicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 38th minute of play. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Gaston Laurendi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ioan Voicu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gaston Laurendi fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Temperley's protests and gave Gaston Laurendi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mexico booed when Club Atlético Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Laurendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Lopez in the 60th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Felix Luque managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joel Pitin in the 72 minute of the game. Ioan Voicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 74th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Ioan Voicu to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 80th minute of the game was made by Gaston Laurendi with Orlando Cordarell as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 87th minute, Hermengildo Raymon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ioan Voicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Correia in the 91st minute of play. Rolando Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 93rd minute of play forced Club Atlético Temperley's goalkeeper Ioan Voicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Facundo Cadaval to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute of the match Joel Pitin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa skillfully saved the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
