Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Corneliu Zubaşcu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Iacob Zgaroi kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When Iacob Zgaroi fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorin Dedu in the 83rd minute of play. Salvador Gisbert made in the 90th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Csíkszereda's Iacob Zgaroi. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. FC Csíkszereda were victorious despite being under pressure from Venezuela for much of the match.
