After a rather tough play, Thunderstorm Riders's Jerzy Mielak got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Thunderstorm Riders's Arkadiusz Barciniak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Thunderstorm Riders getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jerzy Mielak hit a great ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arkadiusz Barciniak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arkadiusz Barciniak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Kudret Tüzer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 31st minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arkadiusz Barciniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konrad Resel in the 32nd minute of play. In the 32ndth minute of the game Konrad Resel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kudret Tüzer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Eliseo Mina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arkadiusz Barciniak. Thunderstorm Riders's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseo Mina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almir Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Lago in the 43rd minute of the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

52 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Konrad Resel came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arkadiusz Barciniak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 57th minute of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Luz Tejedor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luz Tejedor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Jerzy Mielak in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Daniel Houseman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Houseman in the 80th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Lago came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arkadiusz Barciniak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 84th minute. In the 93rd minute Daniel Houseman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
