Cesur Yesar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Macit Semi hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, 1461 Trabzon's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Ender Tanacan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ender Tanacan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 13th minute of the match. 1461 Trabzon's Ender Tanacan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Mateusz Matusiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1461 Trabzon's Mateusz Matusiak got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 1461 Trabzon made a substitution. Wu Hao Xu replaced Macit Semi. Ender Tanacan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of play. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by 1461 Trabzon's Mateusz Matusiak. But to his dismay, Mateusz Matusiak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ender Tanacan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ender Tanacan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 41st minute of play forced 1461 Trabzon's goalkeeper Ender Tanacan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, 1461 Trabzon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Azmi Olgunsoy to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Wu Hao Xu tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateusz Matusiak to make the kick off. With his leg Ender Tanacan managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Mexico's Facundo Cadaval fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ender Tanacan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the game, 1461 Trabzon's Mateusz Matusiak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 83 minutes into the match, 1461 Trabzon's goalkeeper Ender Tanacan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but 1461 Trabzon were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
