The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Esteban Musko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 21st minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play forced LEON's goalkeeper Esteban Musko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Esteban Musko quite easily take care of the ball. Esteban Musko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when LEON was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. LEON made a substitution. Silvestre Mikeldi replaced Pepe Sand. LEON's Teo Acevedo was substituted for Ceferino Mantzio. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Musko having to interfere. In the 76th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Esteban Musko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Eguzki in the 77th minute of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Esteban Musko made a huge save. Silvestre Mikeldi scored 1-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Esteban Musko made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th match minute, LEON was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Fernendo to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
