Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberigo Prosperi in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The The Cavern Club fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when The Cavern Club's Alberigo Prosperi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Alberigo Prosperi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Alberigo Prosperi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimir Prestes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vladimir Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 26th minute of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Alberigo Prosperi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alberigo Prosperi was slow to take the kick. During this time The Cavern Club's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Gonzalo Vergaray to score against Jonathan Ferrant in Venezuela's goal. 6-0 after 63 minutes. When Alex Chicote fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Alex Chicote a yellow card for diving instead. The Cavern Club's Luis Vázquez was substituted for Alberigo Prosperi. In the 69th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Vázquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Vázquez ran back to his position shaking his head.
