Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Skirmantas Balinskas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Skirmantas Balinskas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Eglynas's Doğan Akbudun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doğan Akbudun in the 25th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bengt-Rune Björk was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Marijus Lukšys kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd play minute Skirmantas Balinskas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benito Sanz. 2-0. After 35 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt-Rune Björk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Marijus Lukšys sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Doğan Akbudun made the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doğan Akbudun in the 53rd minute of the match. Skirmantas Balinskas might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Skirmantas Balinskas ran back to his position shaking his head. When Skirmantas Balinskas came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Eglynas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Skirmantas Balinskas couldn't finish the play. Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Bengt-Rune Björk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Axel Tasis kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marijus Lukšys, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Doğan Akbudun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eglynas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. 80 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Skirmantas Balinskas came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Skirmantas Balinskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Eglynas's Skirmantas Balinskas got a free kick in the 85th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doğan Akbudun in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bengt-Rune Björk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Doğan Akbudun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doğan Akbudun in the 94th minute of the match. Eglynas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
