Claudio Di Palma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corte di Camasco the free kick. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. After 22 minutes, Mahir Akgün made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Corte di Camasco's Mahir Akgün was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Mahir Akgün put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Corte di Camasco's Mahir Akgün fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mahir Akgün's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Oscar Barbereau kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mahir Akgün stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mahir Akgün in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mahir Akgün in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Corte di Camasco booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corte di Camasco's Adriano Trivelli was substituted for Mahir Akgün. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Claudio Di Palma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. With a little luck, Corte di Camasco's Claudio Di Palma got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Corte di Camasco made a substitution. Ermanno Bucciarelli replaced Franco Bevilacqua. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Trivelli in the 90th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Corte di Camasco's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
