Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jaime Pardo started the match with the kick off. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Pink Floyd defense, Jaime Pardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Gartxot. The Pink Floyd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Gartxot should have stopped the shot. Pink Floyd's Rafael Lamberto got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacobo Nores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Lamberto in the 13th minute. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Hector Covarrubias hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Lamberto. Fernando Vela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabian Bihar kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Zoido. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Cristobal Lizer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Cristobal Lizer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pink Floyd's Fernando Gartxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Escribano in the 39th minute of play. Jaime Pardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Gartxot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Pardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Jaime Pardo took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Gartxot. Fernando Gartxot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 45 minutes into the game, Leo Tebaldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pink Floyd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraguay the free kick. After 45 played minutes Pink Floyd got a freekick which was hit by Leo Tebaldo. 46 minutes into the game, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Gartxot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3.

A hard shot by Xavier Zoido from long distance, 55 minutes into the match, got Fernando Gartxot's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Fernando Gartxot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Gartxot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Primitivo Escribano in the 61st minute. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Lizer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Fernando Gartxot made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Pardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Gartxot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Pink Floyd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Lamberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Rafael Lamberto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Jaime Pardo took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Gartxot. Fernando Gartxot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 85th minute Cristobal Lizer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paraguay played a much better game than Pink Floyd and deserved their victory. The Pink Floyd players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
