Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zygmunt Pyrtek in the 8th minute of the match. After 10 played minutes Herbalists Opole got a freekick which was hit by Roland Kornatowski. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stasio Borowski went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Roland Kornatowski, made in the 22nd minute of the game. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Karol Karbowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herbalists Opole's Karol Karbowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Herbalists Opole from getting a goal against them. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylwester Barna in the 31st minute of play. The Herbalists Opole fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Herbalists Opole's Stasio Borowski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 38th minute of the game Roland Kornatowski made a throw-in which Benedykt Werra played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stasio Borowski in the 39th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Herbalists Opole were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zygmunt Pyrtek was the one to do the kick off. Karol Karbowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 52nd minute of play. Zygmunt Pyrtek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Gayoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 58th minute Stasio Borowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karol Karbowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 60th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zygmunt Pyrtek's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Joaquin Gayoso stood somewhat misplaced when Zygmunt Pyrtek came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 63 minute. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Zygmunt Pyrtek sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Herbalists Opole's Joaquin Gayoso threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stasio Borowski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 77thth minute of the game Stasio Borowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karol Karbowski having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zygmunt Pyrtek got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 84th minute of play forced Herbalists Opole's goalkeeper Karol Karbowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Herbalists Opole's Zygmunt Pyrtek ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. The supporters of Herbalists Opole booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Beldad didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Herbalists Opole supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Herbalists Opole would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
