Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lucho Aguiar started the match with the kick off. Lucho Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucho Aguiar got free with Julio Vera in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucho Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 17 minutes, Lucho Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real de Carmelo 2021 FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucho Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucho Aguiar in the 26th minute. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Richie Cagigal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Real de Carmelo 2021 FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Heinze. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 31st minute of play forced Real de Carmelo 2021 FC's goalkeeper Richie Cagigal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucho Aguiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, Lucho Aguiar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucho Aguiar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Real de Carmelo 2021 FC's Richie Cagigal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Real de Carmelo 2021 FC from getting a goal against them. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real de Carmelo 2021 FC's goalkeeper Richie Cagigal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Lucho Aguiar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 58th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richie Cagigal was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 63rdth minute of the game Lucho Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucho Aguiar in the 64th minute of play. Richie Cagigal made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucho Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Arias Coz kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Real de Carmelo 2021 FC's Larry Estoyanoff was substituted for Stefan Banaszak. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
