Isidoro Lugo scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th minute Nicolas Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a Celtic FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th match minute, Celtic FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Udalaitz to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Isidoro Lugo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Froila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot 29 in the game by Nicolas Froila from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. In the 30th minute, Nicolas Froila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Isidoro Lugo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celtic FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Lugo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Bernd Goorts fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celtic FC's protests and gave Bernd Goorts a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Celtic FC's Isidoro Lugo. But to his dismay, Isidoro Lugo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0.

After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 53 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dionisio Barea who took care of the corner kick. Nicolas Froila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Froila in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Nicolas Froila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Grischa Fridrich kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Froila in the 61st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Lugo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Celtic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Sebastián Junes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastián Junes made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Isidoro Lugo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Sebastián Junes in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Sebastián Junes made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Lugo in the 75th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Sebastián Junes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Celtic FC's Isidoro Lugo. But to his dismay, Isidoro Lugo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Celtic FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
