Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Chaponnay FC's Evan Le Moullec started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 6th minute. Luis Andreu hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moïse Girerd saved Chaponnay FC from getting behind. The supporters of Chaponnay FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Renaud Houzet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chaponnay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Chaponnay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renaud Houzet didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Chaponnay FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Sylvain Deman hit a great ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. 45 minutes into the match, Evan Le Moullec notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Sylvain Deman made in the 52nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tanguy Caudrelier however managed to control. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Chaponnay FC's Bakary Ramsamy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Charly Boisson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Moïse Girerd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. A collision led to Chaponnay FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Sylvain Deman hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Tomas Illescas could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Moïse Girerd however easily saved by the left post. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 80th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moïse Girerd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charly Boisson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moïse Girerd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Chaponnay FC's Gaston Hurtaud was substituted for Luis Andreu. In the 96th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Chaponnay FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
