Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gilvan Zonta kicked off to start the match. After 2 minutes, Juan Diego Tenorio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraguay and the Ravenclaw F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ravenclaw F. C. booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Diego Tenorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magno da Mata charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magno da Mata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Hector Covarrubias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute Gilvan Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Diego Tenorio to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Gilvan Zonta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Gilvan Zonta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilvan Zonta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Ravenclaw F. C.'s André Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Ravenclaw F. C. from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Pardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Taffarel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 29 minutes, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ravenclaw F. C.'s Almir Motta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Juan Diego Tenorio in the 36 minute of the game. Ravenclaw F. C.'s André Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Ravenclaw F. C. from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute, Jaime Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ravenclaw F. C.'s goalkeeper André Taffarel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Magno da Mata was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played. Magno da Mata hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After the first half Ravenclaw F. C. were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Pardo was the one to do the kick off. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Gilvan Zonta took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Jacobo Nores to make any attempt to save it. In the 62nd match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Escribano to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Ravenclaw F. C.'s Gilvan Zonta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Luís Eduardo Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ravenclaw F. C.'s zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Taffarel came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Ravenclaw F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but André Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ravenclaw F. C.'s zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Taffarel came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Ravenclaw F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manoel Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hector Covarrubias in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Taffarel saved Ravenclaw F. C. from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano got a free kick in the 91st minute. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilvan Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the game, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Taffarel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. The Paraguay manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Ravenclaw F. C. to win.
