Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Florian Plouffe kicked off to start the match. Tristan Arioli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raik Topuz in the 13th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Tristan Arioli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Olympique Fribourg defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tristan Arioli. The Olympique Fribourg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tristan Arioli should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 24th minute of play forced Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Tristan Arioli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tristan Arioli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 26th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tristan Arioli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florian Plouffe got free with Julio Vera in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Omar Bünder during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Omar Bünder kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Raik Topuz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympique Fribourg's supporters rose to their feet, but Raik Topuz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 51 minutes into the game, Remo Pürro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympique Fribourg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Tristan Arioli however easily saved by the left post. 67 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Tristan Arioli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tristan Arioli. Tristan Arioli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
