Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 3rd minute of play forced Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's goalkeeper Nechifor Păunescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nechifor Păunescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelu Alexandrescu in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chile's Francisco Carballar got a free kick in the 8th minute. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Cezar Cucu sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute Fotbal Club Otelul Galati were awarded a corner. Doru Barna went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Petre Săliştean getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nechifor Păunescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the match, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Nechifor Păunescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Gelu Alexandrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gelu Alexandrescu's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Săliştean, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Nechifor Păunescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 龙冰文 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nechifor Păunescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After 46 minutes of play, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's 龙冰文 made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Doru Barna made a great header on Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's corner, it was just that Chile's Thiago Pliego managed to reach the ball for a save. Nechifor Păunescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nechifor Păunescu, 2-2. In the 70th minute of the match, Mariano Lacasa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nechifor Păunescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nechifor Păunescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezar Cucu, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Nechifor Păunescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Fotbal Club Otelul Galati from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Păunescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa had several of the Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 83 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-4 score and a disappointed Nechifor Păunescu as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Chile booed when Fotbal Club Otelul Galati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Şteţ didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Nechifor Păunescu in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chile walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
