In the 85th minute, El Salvador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Carlos Rodriguez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ciriaco Canosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciriaco Canosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Lorenzo Yepes hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciriaco Canosa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 0-10 in the 94 minute of play.
