Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Aderbal Santos made a huge save. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Straedelburgh! Aderbal Santos had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Luz Tejedor's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Michael Helström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute Straedelburgh were awarded a corner. Caco Araújo went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Straedelburgh's goalkeeper Aderbal Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aderbal Santos. Straedelburgh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Ferrão in the 19th minute of the match. Straedelburgh's Aderbal Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Straedelburgh from getting a goal against them. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Michael Helström in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Ferrão came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aderbal Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 42nd minute of the match. In the last second Aderbal Santos throw himself and got hold of the ball when Luz Tejedor in the 43rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Straedelburgh's Aderbal Santos. Aderbal Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Karl-Michael Helström tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aderbal Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Betão Matorin made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Straedelburgh were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Caco Araújo took the corner. The corner ended in Karl-Michael Helström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. Karl-Michael Helström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Rafael Gallo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Aderbal Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
