The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gillis Degens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wouter Gijselinckx made a kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gillis Degens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Gillis Degens was a little too slow when Mariano Lacasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-5. Gillis Degens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Gillis Degens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mariano Lacasa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 96 minute of play.
