Edgar Homeag showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Ageamiii's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edgar Homeag showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Edgar Homeag was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgar Homeag. Ageamiii's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 40 minutes in the game Daniel Babeș did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Dacian Cândea. 44 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Homeag made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Doru Emilianu kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Silviu Cretan kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas tried to score from far away in the 62nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Homeag breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgar Homeag was a little too slow when Tomas Illescas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-6. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Edgar Homeag tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Ageamiii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Ştefoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgar Homeag. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Edgar Homeag tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Homeag was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Homeag having to interfere. Corneliu Răducanu took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. In the 95th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
