After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Emanuel Barbu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Emanuel Barbu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Iwan Swoboda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute of play. Emanuel Barbu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Emanuel Barbu could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. FC Szczucin's Emanuel Barbu got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Emanuel Barbu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwan Swoboda having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Barbu in the 67th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Szczucin's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
