Tomas Illescas scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mané Netto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hising Island FC:s goal. Venezuela:s Jonathan Ferrant showed great skill when he stopped Andrzej Czech:s penalty. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Ľubomír Demský's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Mané Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Hising Island FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Ľubomír Demský stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Ľubomír Demský tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute of the match Hising Island FC got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrzej Czech ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hising Island FC's Andrzej Czech was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tomas Illescas scored 0-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mané Netto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Nicolae Creangă came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Hising Island FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolae Creangă couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Hising Island FC got a freekick which was hit by King Presley. In the 58th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthon Finman in the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Hising Island FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ľubomír Demský to maneuver through the defense. Nils-Erik Petersson made in the 63rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Nicolae Creangă however managed to control. After having played for 65 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mané Netto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 66th minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hising Island FC's goalkeeper Mané Netto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 76 minutes, Nicolae Creangă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mané Netto made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the match, Hising Island FC's goalkeeper Mané Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. A nice corner shot did that Jose Correa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mané Netto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 89 minutes into the match, Hising Island FC's Ľubomír Demský sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, Camilo Gaos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hising Island FC the free kick. The supporters of Hising Island FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
