Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Julian Murillo put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Angel-Enrique Comizzo. In the 28th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel-Enrique Comizzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Skark in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Thomas Rogne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas Rogne made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Luz Tejedor kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Alf Björk took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Angel-Enrique Comizzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blue Angels's Angel-Enrique Comizzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Alf Björk made the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Björk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angel-Enrique Comizzo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angel-Enrique Comizzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 59th minute of play. After some careless play in the Blue Angels defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angel-Enrique Comizzo. The Blue Angels fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angel-Enrique Comizzo should have stopped the shot. Angel-Enrique Comizzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Blue Angels's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Emmanuel Reyes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Angel-Enrique Comizzo quite easily take care of the ball. After 68 minutes Blue Angels's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Alonso Berganza made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Blue Angels's Angel-Enrique Comizzo managed to reach the ball for a save. Angel-Enrique Comizzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Thomas Rogne fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blue Angels's protests and gave Thomas Rogne a yellow card for diving instead. Thomas Rogne kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Rafael Gallo made a precise shot to the right of Angel-Enrique Comizzo. Blue Angels's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Peru fans cheered their team off the field, for while Blue Angels had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
