Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Argonautes Irakliou's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Miltos Kastanis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Argonautes Irakliou's Nikos Papafotakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Notis Klitorakis kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Argonautes Irakliou's Tilemachos Balodimos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 33rd minute of play forced Argonautes Irakliou's goalkeeper Miltos Kastanis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Miltos Kastanis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Miltos Kastanis made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Miltos Kastanis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. Panos Kazatzis charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Panos Kazatzis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st match minute, Argonautes Irakliou was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Kazatzis to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miltos Kastanis skillfully saved the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tilemachos Balodimos came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Markos Santamouris cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktoras Pirovolikos in the 95th minute of the match. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
