The audience was convinced that Koby Wright's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thanasis Koltsidas was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. João Francisco de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jax Williamson having to interfere. Jax Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jelte Bleiswijk in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match, Jelte Bleiswijk tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jax Williamson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Koby Wright sped through AEK S.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thanasis Koltsidas. When Canada's Koby Wright in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AEK S.C's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Canada's Jan Dixon got a free kick in the 45th minute. João Francisco de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jax Williamson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jelte Bleiswijk was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Donzel Goyeneta came free, but Jax Williamson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanasis Koltsidas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koby Wright, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Jax Williamson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jelte Bleiswijk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute of the match, Koby Wright tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thanasis Koltsidas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanasis Koltsidas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Koby Wright in the 62nd minute of play. Thanasis Koltsidas came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Canada's Koby Wright. But to his dismay, Koby Wright quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Canada made a substitution. Theo Burton replaced Rohan Watson. The corner ended in Rodrigo Hats almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Canada's Jax Williamson did a great save. AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save AEK S.C from getting a goal against them. Regan Jordan hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. AEK S.C made a substitution. Thalis Krommidas replaced Donzel Goyeneta. In the 78th minute, Regan Jordan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the game, AEK S.C's Thalis Krommidas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jax Williamson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Burton in the 82nd minute of play forced AEK S.C's goalkeeper Thanasis Koltsidas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prince Anderson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thanasis Koltsidas having to interfere. Rodrigo Hats kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. With a little luck, AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas got control of the ball when Jan Dixon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filip Edwards in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thanasis Koltsidas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to AEK S.C getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Kevin Carreira hit a great ball. Jelte Bleiswijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jelte Bleiswijk struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jax Williamson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AEK S.C.
