Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Soulis Kounelakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emmanuel Nizam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Anfilogino Pizzi fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Us Lecce Spa's protests and gave Anfilogino Pizzi a yellow card for diving instead. Emmanuel Nizam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute of the match. Napoleon Gamza took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Toninho Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Us Lecce Spa made a substitution. Paul McIldowie replaced Anfilogino Pizzi. Us Lecce Spa's Modesto Gai was substituted for Filippo Piano. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Napoleon Gamza was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Us Lecce Spa booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Napoleon Gamza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Us Lecce Spa's Napoleon Gamza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 65 minutes into the game, Us Lecce Spa's Jakob Schrage nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. With a little luck, Us Lecce Spa's Emmanuel Nizam got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th minute Napoleon Gamza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Napoleon Gamza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Soulis Kounelakis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
