Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Linus Fredriksson started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Juan Carlos Alvarez in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Panpili in the 5th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Carlos Alvarez made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Francisco Carballar sent off a good shot on target. When Marlin FC's Linus Fredriksson in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. Juan Carlos Alvarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Casaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Indiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Marlin FC got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aybek Orcun ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Giovanni Rana managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A collision led to Marlin FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Melchor Oidor hit a great ball. Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Marlin FC from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Juan Carlos Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Linus Fredriksson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. Juan Carlos Alvarez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez got control of the ball when Orlando Casaus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeronimo Sotil got a throw-in 43 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Yin Yang. In the 46th minute Dionisio Panpili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Francisco Carballar kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Carlos Alvarez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Thiago Pliego successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 59th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Linus Fredriksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 61st minute of the match Marlin FC got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aybek Orcun ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Marlin FC's Aybek Orcun to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Pliego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Juan Carlos Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linus Fredriksson in the 78th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Marlin FC's Thiago Pliego threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dionisio Panpili, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 83rd minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dionisio Panpili received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Carlos Alvarez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez. Juan Carlos Alvarez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Juan Carlos Alvarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Linus Fredriksson in the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chile fans cheered their team off the field, for while Marlin FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
