Gabirel Chapital could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Gabirel Chapital who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Stanislaw Wietrzychowski sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornel Drâmba, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The audience was convinced that Cornel Drâmba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Gabirel Chapital tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play forced Res Non Verba's goalkeeper Mingo Camporredondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Luis Andino spun around in front of the goal 40 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Res Non Verba's goal. In the 41st minute, Gil Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

51 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Stanislaw Wietrzychowski came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Res Non Verba's Gabirel Chapital to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mingo Camporredondo made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Res Non Verba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mingo Camporredondo quite easily take care of the ball. In the 58th minute Gabirel Chapital shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornel Drâmba, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cornel Drâmba in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's Luis Andino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mingo Camporredondo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. When Gabirel Chapital came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Res Non Verba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabirel Chapital couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Res Non Verba's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mingo Camporredondo came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Res Non Verba made a substitution. Thibaud Van Acht replaced Cornel Drâmba. Res Non Verba's Mingo Camporredondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Res Non Verba from getting a goal against them. After 86 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thibaud Van Acht in the 87th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Gabirel Chapital kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabirel Chapital in the 95th minute of the match.
