Constantino Idacio started the match with the kick off. Amadeo Francesco hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 6th minute of play forced Piratas FC's goalkeeper Raimond Lenk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Raimond Lenk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. 16 minutes into the game, Constantino Idacio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play forced Piratas FC's goalkeeper Raimond Lenk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimond Lenk having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Piratas FC's Kryspin Degutis got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of Piratas FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Piratas FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Constantino Idacio hit a great ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Idacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Piratas FC's Raimond Lenk got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimond Lenk having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th match minute, Piratas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Idacio to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Kryspin Degutis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th match minute, Piratas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piri Vangioni to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Raimond Lenk made a huge save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Idacio in the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Idacio in the 93rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Piratas FC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
