Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Victorino Peake started the match with the kick off. Serbülent Baysan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 7th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Serbülent Baysan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 14th minute. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serbülent Baysan having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Macos Graciani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Anderlecht Huachipato the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 20th minute, where FC Anderlecht Huachipato:s Victorino Peake tricked Mexico:s Dante Lacasa with a difficult ball by the left post. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baumar Ontanilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 25th minute, Julio Cachero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 27 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serbülent Baysan was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 32nd minute of play. Luca Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serbülent Baysan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luca Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Felix Luque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serbülent Baysan having to interfere. Stojan Krhan hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute of the match Joel Gaona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Serbülent Baysan skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Peake in the 46th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serbülent Baysan having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The supporters of Mexico booed when FC Anderlecht Huachipato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis-Sven Piater didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute Vitaliy Fedchenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Serbülent Baysan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Joel Gaona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Serbülent Baysan came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Gaona slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 56th minute. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serbülent Baysan having to interfere. FC Anderlecht Huachipato made a substitution. Eufemio Ehijo replaced Vitaliy Fedchenko. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Felix Txilar was substituted for Maximino Astudillo. A collision led to FC Anderlecht Huachipato getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Stojan Krhan hit a great ball. Eufemio Ehijo kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Serbülent Baysan was a little too slow when Joel Gaona got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 2-4. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Serbülent Baysan however easily saved by the left post. 80 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serbülent Baysan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Serbülent Baysan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 87th minute of play. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Anderlecht Huachipato from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute, Facundo Cadaval fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Serbülent Baysan, passed just outside the right post. Leonardo Leoz charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Leoz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Mexico:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Anderlecht Huachipato:s goal.
