Remigio Joanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Falckner FC's Remigio Joanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Alejandro Falcke got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 9 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Franco. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Lleir in the 10th minute of play. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luis Filipo in the 16 minute of the game. With a little luck, Falckner FC's Remigio Joanes got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 20 minutes of play, Falckner FC's Jonas Urbez made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Mazuste in the 23rd minute of play. Maximiliano Escribano struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Remigio Joanes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Remigio Joanes made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute Uruguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Cazalla went to the cornerflag to take it. Uruguay's Francisco Seco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Remigio Joanes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Remigio Joanes in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Alfonso Lluis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Alfonso Lluis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Falckner FC's Jonas Urbez in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36th minute, Luis Filipo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Urbez in the 39th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Remigio Joanes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonas Urbez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes Falckner FC got a freekick which was hit by Federico Escobar. Alejandro Falcke lost his temper 63 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Alejandro Falcke hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Falckner FC's zone, Jaime Cazalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Joanes came out of the goal and Jaime Cazalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
