An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 3rd minute of play forced Treviso FC's goalkeeper Alejandro Iraido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Patricio Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alejandro Iraido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Alejandro Iraido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The supporters of Treviso FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Gonsalvo Cerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Cordarrell Sarro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cordarrell Sarro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Cordarrell Sarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordarrell Sarro in the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gonsalvo Cerra who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Treviso FC's corner Gonsalvo Cerra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. In the 28th minute, Berriotxoa Valdeboys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Ugutz Baruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Treviso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenon Trevijano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Alejandro Iraido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Gonsalvo Cerra made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonsalvo Cerra in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Cordarrell Sarro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Treviso FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Cordarrell Sarro struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. After 62 played minutes Treviso FC got a freekick which was hit by Koldo Balli. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Koldo Balli during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Treviso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koldo Balli to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute of the match Gonsalvo Cerra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. After 73rd play minutes Gonsalvo Cerra shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. If Cordarrell Sarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Treviso FC's Alejandro Iraido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Treviso FC from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cordarrell Sarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Gonsalvo Cerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Treviso FC's Alejandro Iraido got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Gonsalvo Cerra came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Treviso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonsalvo Cerra couldn't finish the play. If Gonsalvo Cerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
