To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kleopas Plouffe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Elequemedo came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kleopas Plouffe was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 30 minutes into the match, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goalkeeper Kleopas Plouffe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luz Tejedor. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Kleopas Plouffe made a huge save. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Gogo Elequemedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Kleopas Plouffe made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. The Peru players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Defensores de Mar de Ajó were winning 0-1.

Kleopas Plouffe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 51st minute of the match. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th match minute, Defensores de Mar de Ajó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Sazon to maneuver through the defense. Kleopas Plouffe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 67th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kleopas Plouffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 67th minute of play forced Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goalkeeper Kleopas Plouffe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kleopas Plouffe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Cesar Romildo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Milagros Fraga scored 1-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kleopas Plouffe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 76th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Milagros Fraga however managed to control. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. After having played for 85 minutes, Rafael Gallo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Gallo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kleopas Plouffe went to the wrong direction when Eliseo Mina was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Gogo Elequemedo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
