Petardo Futebol e Surf's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. 17 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Donato came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Jefferson Donato made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 25th minute, Alex Cambeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Hermes got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Petardo Futebol e Surf's Flavio Silviano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 30th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Tomas Berganza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Silviano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Telmo Vasconcelos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Telmo Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Telmo Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Petardo Futebol e Surf got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Vasconcelos. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jefferson Donato made a kick off. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Vasconcelos in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Panama! In the 61st minute, Jefferson Donato ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Flavio Silviano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Petardo Futebol e Surf's Flavio Silviano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Petardo Futebol e Surf's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Flavio Silviano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Dadá Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Petardo Futebol e Surf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
