The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Lengua de Lobo's Tristan Baldwin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tristan Baldwin in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tristan Baldwin kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lengua de Lobo's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Patxi came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Aldo Felipo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aldo Felipo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Buinton went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tristan Baldwin in the 34th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas's late challenge caught a Lengua de Lobo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Illescas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 35th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pelayo Silva. Lengua de Lobo's Patryk Dubilas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 44th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Aldo Felipo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Patxi having to interfere. Armando Buinton might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armando Buinton ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Lengua de Lobo's Edgardo Patxi got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Pelayo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lengua de Lobo the free kick. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Buinton in the 70th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Edgardo Patxi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Lengua de Lobo made a substitution. Jaime Nayely replaced Severino Azibar. Lengua de Lobo's Blas Herauso was substituted for Rosendo Tono. Aldo Felipo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 78th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. When Tristan Baldwin came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Lengua de Lobo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tristan Baldwin couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tristan Baldwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tristan Baldwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
