The audience thought a goal was coming when Ataman Taşcıoğlu got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Panama booed when ST Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yalçın Zeyni didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Özdemir Kutlualp came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Hakan Derim struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ST Lions FC. In the 37th minute, Abraham Alguacil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 65th minute of play forced ST Lions FC's goalkeeper Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Panama got a corner. ST Lions FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 69th minute, Ataman Taşcıoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ST Lions FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 73rd minute, Panama's Abraham Alguacil ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman. Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Hakkı Deniz Geylani took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Cotilla. Panama's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 85th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento made a precise shot to the right of Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman. ST Lions FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. In the 89th minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, ST Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakan Derim, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
