Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damian Stonehouse in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Damian Stonehouse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Egg Chasers FC's Fabien Barthez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Egg Chasers FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Brookman in the 21st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Matthew Brookman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Damian Stonehouse notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Egg Chasers FC's Matthew Brookman. But to his dismay, Matthew Brookman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rex Wall, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 39 minutes, Peter Crouch made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Damian Stonehouse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Egg Chasers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Stonehouse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matthew Brookman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Egg Chasers FC the free kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damian Stonehouse made a kick off. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Stonehouse in the 51st minute of play. Peter Crouch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
