After 10 minutes, Primitivo Andino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Oscar Mulero players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evstati Shushev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Oscar Mulero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eneto Albizua didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. After 18th play minutes Fred Iemberge shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. Evstati Shushev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Oscar Mulero's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Iemberge. 32 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evstati Shushev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evstati Shushev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Fred Iemberge might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Iemberge ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evstati Shushev saved Oscar Mulero from getting behind. Fred Iemberge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 45th minute Fred Iemberge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Evstati Shushev was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 53rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. 54 minutes into the match, Oscar Mulero's goalkeeper Evstati Shushev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. From a short distance, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita, in the 54th minute, tried to place the ball behind Evstati Shushev, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. Oscar Mulero's Evstati Shushev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Oscar Mulero from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Evstati Shushev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Iemberge scored 2-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Mulero made a substitution. David Zamora replaced Qarabulud La Forgia. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Evstati Shushev made a huge save. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Oscar Mulero's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In the 82nd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evstati Shushev made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Oscar Mulero's Evstati Shushev. Evstati Shushev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A hard shot 88 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Evstati Shushev managed to make a qualified save. Oscar Mulero's players were relieved. In the 89thth minute of the game Efrain Merexildo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Jacky Chan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Oscar Mulero fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
