Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Bogdan Bambas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Gürsel Durusoy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Linquist in the 20th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Bogdan Bambas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bogdan Bambas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 27 minutes into the game, Börje Linquist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Börje Linquist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Servet Bakırcıoğlu sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd match minute, BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gürsel Durusoy to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Börje Linquist sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mexico's Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gürsel Durusoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Börje Linquist who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gürsel Durusoy almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. If Bogdan Bambas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's Gürsel Durusoy ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bogdan Bambas made a kick off. İskender Orbey was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Alberto Tafalla capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alberto Tafalla really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. İskender Orbey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 61 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. In the 64th minute Servet Bakırcıoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bogdan Bambas in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. İskender Orbey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gürsel Durusoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 played minutes BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42 got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Romero. After 94 minutes BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Leonardo Leoz hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. BaBa Aküü Yook..! 42 had won after a very even match.
