With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charis Paparigopoulos saved Oddspredator.com from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Ntinos Koutris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Ntinos Koutris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Oddspredator.com's Charis Paparigopoulos got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Charis Paparigopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 19th minute of the match. Pipis Barbikas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charis Paparigopoulos came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charis Paparigopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
