Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johan Kiewit in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bermejo Club were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Feliberto Tauro took the corner. 14 minutes into the game, David Hulberto threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The throw-in from David Hulberto in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. In the 19th minute Johan Kiewit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Johan Kiewit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johan Kiewit, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. David Hulberto made in the 24th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of play forced Bermejo Club's goalkeeper Leandro Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, David Hulberto threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 36 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Johan Kiewit came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Milagros Fraga struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Leandro Munio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Eliseo Mina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leandro Munio. That made the score 1-0 after 41 minutes of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bermejo Club's goalkeeper Leandro Munio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Bermejo Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Peru were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Bermejo Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. The corner led to Peru's Eliseo Mina getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 63 played minutes Bermejo Club got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Teixeira. In the 68th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Munio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 minutes Bermejo Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Joaquin Prats hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 74 minutes of play, Bermejo Club's Johan Kiewit made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 79th minute Honorio Nikola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when David Hulberto made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. In the 83rd minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Johan Kiewit's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Rolando Noboa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A hard shot 87 in the game by Johan Kiewit from a close distance when the talented Rolando Noboa managed to make a qualified save. Peru's players were relieved. Johan Kiewit in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rolando Noboa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bermejo Club's Leandro Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Tenorio in the 96th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
