Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Emanuel Avellino made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 4 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Fabian Testaferrata Abela scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 2-0. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute, Victoria's Fredrik Hylander ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 22 minutes into the match, Emanuel Avellino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Avellino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 25th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nigel Petroni in the 27th minute of the match. Fabian Testaferrata Abela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. In the 31st minute, Fabian Testaferrata Abela made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Emanuel Avellino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Tommy Cauchi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Alexander Carballo's late challenge caught a Victoria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. In the 61st minute Emanuel Avellino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredrik Hylander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Fredrik Hylander came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Victoria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrik Hylander couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Testaferrata Abela in the 72nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Fabian Testaferrata Abela made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 77thth minute of the game Emanuel Avellino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Fredrik Hylander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Victoria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. 90 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Testaferrata Abela came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Emanuel Avellino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoria's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
