Thiago Pliego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Cezar Cucu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Liviu Şteţ got a free kick in the 24th minute. Nechifor Păunescu was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Mariano Lacasa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mariano Lacasa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Nechifor Păunescu in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nechifor Păunescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 60th minute of the match. In the 65th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Păunescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Păunescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Guillermo Fontirroig notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Nechifor Păunescu. Nechifor Păunescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezar Cucu in the 78th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Cezar Cucu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thiago Pliego, 2-2. Nechifor Păunescu came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Nechifor Păunescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 86th minute of the match. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's goalkeeper Nechifor Păunescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Nechifor Păunescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Nechifor Păunescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fotbal Club Otelul Galati players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chile.
