After 78 played minutes Mercado Paulista F.C got a freekick which was hit by Telo Estruch. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fernando Arquett was slow to take the kick. During this time Mercado Paulista F.C's players had a chance to rest. Mercado Paulista F.C's Fernando Arquett was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian de Lima in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 92nd minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Franco Sampler. Franco Sampler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian de Lima in the 95th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
