In the 24thth minute of the game Téo Mello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Cup2's Téo Mello got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. Ricardo Zorita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Téo Mello in the 52nd minute. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Galin Hadzhiyski in the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Marco Tamayo got a free kick in the 90th minute. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Galin Hadzhiyski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Cup2 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Salvador throughout the match.
