An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Berg in the 10th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel-Enrique Comizzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angel-Enrique Comizzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angel-Enrique Comizzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Angel-Enrique Comizzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Patrik Skark scored 1-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Blue Angels getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Patrik Skark hit a great ball. With a little luck, Blue Angels's Angel-Enrique Comizzo got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Angel-Enrique Comizzo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 73rd minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Angel-Enrique Comizzo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Blue Angels's Angel-Enrique Comizzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Blue Angels from getting a goal against them. Alberto Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Björk in the 81st minute of play. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alf Björk's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Blue Angels's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Angel-Enrique Comizzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel-Enrique Comizzo having to interfere. Blue Angels's Ted Björk was substituted for Johan Bangsbo. Angel-Enrique Comizzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
