Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kent Lindberg got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hans Doss was slow to take the kick. During this time Mercado Paulista F.C's players had a chance to rest. After 10 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Sampler was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 12th minute, Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Sampler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Sampler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Mercado Paulista F.C defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Sampler. The Mercado Paulista F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Sampler should have stopped the shot. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Franco Sampler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of the match. Franco Sampler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Mercado Paulista F.C's Franco Sampler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frans Larsfelt during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Frans Larsfelt kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Mercado Paulista F.C got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Elequemedo. Mercado Paulista F.C's Cristian de Lima was substituted for Kent Lindberg. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Paulino Elequemedo made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian de Lima in the 56th minute of play. Franco Sampler made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. After 59 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Berganza. Luz Tejedor struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Franco Sampler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Sampler having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franco Sampler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 74 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hans Doss who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Peru's goalie and right to Frans Larsfelt. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Peru's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Franco Sampler was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Larsfelt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulino Elequemedo made in the 95th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sebastian Jayvier. Peru played a much better game than Mercado Paulista F.C and deserved their victory. The Mercado Paulista F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
