But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Mariusz Mroczynski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Igor Siekierski in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Czeslaw Tipinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Brow Team's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Igor Siekierski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliks Klejnowski in the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of Brow Team booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 49th minute, Norbert Kostrzewa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Igor Siekierski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Siekierski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Brow Team's Igor Siekierski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 80th minute of play.
