Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Almeida in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th minute Juan Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Seide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gesner Philippe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lino Torres in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Noel Seide prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Noel Seide didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Almeida went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute, Juan Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Noel Seide. Haiti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Haiti's Noel Seide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rômulo Fontes in the 30th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Alphonse got free with Wellington Sena in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jonathan Alphonse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Riograndense FC's Juan Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Noel Seide made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Haiti's Noel Seide proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Haiti from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Riograndense FC booed when Haiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernso Constant didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Haiti's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yuri Meira was slow to take the kick. During this time Riograndense FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 62nd minute, one of Haiti:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Haiti. In the 63rd minute, Riograndense FC got a penalty, and Yuri Meira placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Benê Arósio made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Haiti's Ernso Constant. With a little luck, Haiti's Noel Seide got control of the ball when Juan Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Haiti getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ernso Constant hit a great ball. Jean Claude Ulysse kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Yuri Meira struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Noel Seide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Riograndense FC. After 77 played minutes Haiti got a freekick which was hit by Jean Claude Ulysse. 78 minutes into the match, Juan Almeida dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Noel Seide, 0-6. Haiti's Noel Seide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rômulo Fontes in the 82nd minute of play. Haiti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. When Benê Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Riograndense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benê Arósio couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Torres in the 93rd minute of play forced Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haiti's Noel Seide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Torres in the 95th minute of play. Juan Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Noel Seide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
